Mrs. Heiss
Hello! My name is Kim Heiss and I teach English Language Arts and Accelerated English Language Arts for the Dolphin team. This year, I, along with Mrs. Pickering, will also be a leader for the Bowling Club. I have worked as a Lakeview teacher at both Greenwood Elementary and Jefferson for a total of twelve years. My undergraduate degree is from Wayne State University, while my master’s degree is from Saginaw Valley State University. I am thrilled to be teaching 6th grade and am looking forward to a successful year with all of the wonderful students and the outstanding staff of JMS.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, vacationing, working on my scrapbooks, walking, biking, reading, and spending time with friends.

Mr. Hahn
Hello, my name is Christopher Hahn and I will be your child's math teacher this year. This is my eighth year in education with five years teaching experience in fifth and sixth grade, and two years coordinating an International Baccalaureate Program . I hold a bachelor’s of science from Wayne State University majoring in education with minors and endorsements in math, science and social studies. I have master’s of education in school administration and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction.
I am anticipating an exciting year full of many learning experiences and opportunities for growth. We are going to work hard and have a great time!

Mr. Talacko
Hello Dolphins and Dolphin parents! My name is Martin Talacko and I'll be teaching science this year for our pod. I will also be sponsoring a couple of clubs this year ... the Jefferson Drawing Club (JDC) and the Jefferson Sports Reporters (JSR).
I attended EasternMichiganUniversity while completing my undergraduate work and then SVSU for my Master's Degree. I've been teaching in the Lakeview district since 1992, and since 2008 at Jefferson. In my free time I like reading, attending my son's high school soccer games, and the occasional camping trip. I know this year holds a lot of exciting activities, events and learning. I'm glad that we'll be a part of that together.

Hello Everyone! My name is Kathy Fury and I will be teaching social studies this year . I am the co-sponsor of the Jefferson Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, as well as the sponsor of the Scrapbook Club.
I have been a teacher for LakeviewPublic Schools since 1990, and a member of the JMS staff since 2000. I received both my Bachelor's Degree and my Master's Degree from OaklandUniversity.
I love spending time with my husband and two teenage daughters. I enjoy camping, sporting events, reading and scrapbooking.
I am so ready to share in all of our learning opportunities.
